Administrative Assistant: Full-time Professional Staff Position

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree with five years financial and administrative support experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher
  • Payroll experience (ADP preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and creative writing
  • Ability to manage a diverse work load
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to work independently in fast-pace environment

Cook- Kitchen Assistant: Part-time Staff Position

Function:

Work with our Community Food and Nutrition Coordinator to prepare and serve the daily meal to our guests and residents.

  • Assist with the preparation of the afternoon meal on daily basis, Monday through Friday.
  • Follow standardized recipes meeting Federal and State nutritional specifications
  • Maintain clean work environment
  • Handle and store food using proper sanitation methods as directed by the NYS Health Department
  • Assist with Food Pantry
  • Work with kitchen volunteers
  • Pick-up donated food items and orders, unpack and store as appropriate 

Requirements:

  •  High School diploma or G.E.D. with course related experience in food prep and food service
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in food service related field
  • Experience with menu planning, cooking, and serving 150-200 individuals
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations as well as use of commercial kitchen equipment
  • Highly organized and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Hospitality Services Coordinator: Part-time Staff Position

Function:

Responsible for the smooth operation of programs and services related to the Hospitality Center.  Ensure all services are efficiently and effectively provided to our guest and residents.

  • Responsible for following Hospitality Center programs: hospitality, showers/laundry, mailboxes/lockers, guest phone, food pantry, clothing room
  • Provide primary presence in the Hospitality Center
  • Ensure adequate coverage for the center including oversight of the outdoor space.
  • Create a sense of safety, security, belonging, and inclusion in the center
  • Assist the Day Program Supervisor with establishing services
  • Maintain required reports and records
  • Point person for volunteers

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or High School Diploma with 5 years’ experience working with the homeless and a diverse population
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of computerized systems
  • Knowledge of agencies, programs, and services in the community
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Valid, Clean NYS Driver’s License, essential
  • Own vehicle

Director of Day Program & Case Management Services: Full-time Staff Position

Function:

Responsible for overall coordination, supervision, and efficient operations of the Day Drop-in Center Program and the Case Management program.

  • Supervise and train subordinate staff, experience works staff, and interns
  • Coordinate programs and services of the Hospitality Center and Case Management department
  • Direct client contact
  • Community Outreach
  • Responsible for data collection and entry into HMIS system
  • Oversee preparation of required reports in a timely manner
  • Oversee management of volunteer program
  • Manage educational services           

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field with 2 years paid experience working in non-profit and with the homeless population.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field with 5 years’ experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of computerized systems
  • Knowledge of agencies, programs, and services in the community
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with peers to provide sound leadership
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Valid, Clean NYS Driver’s License, essential
